Meet Shanandoah Sterling

Writing is equal parts art, discipline, and discovery. Whether crafting immersive prose, guiding writers through the intricacies of revision, or designing engaging digital workshops, Sterling's focus is always the same: helping stories resonate with clarity, depth, and intention.

With an MFA in Creative Writing and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Creative Writing, Shanandoah Sterling brings extensive training to her craft, supplemented by graduate credential in Online Teaching of Writing and Travel Writing certificate.

An active voice in the literary community, she is a member of the International English Honor Society, Sigma Tau Delta, and multiple professional writing and editorial organizations.

• Creative Writing & Storytelling: Developing fiction and narrative non-fiction with rich world-building, sharp character development, and vivid sensory detail drawn from travel and lived experience.
• Online Instruction & Coaching: Designing thoughtful one-on-one mentorship sessions tailored for virtual spaces—helping emerging writers build confidence and refine their voice, or the seasoned author deepen their prose.
• Editorial Services: Providing manuscript evaluations, developmental feedback, and line editing to polish prose without stripping away the author’s authentic style.

Every writer's journey requires both solitary focus and collaborative community. Having formally studied both the creative process and the pedagogy of teaching writing online, I believe craft is best learned in an environment that balances rigorous editorial standards with genuine encouragement.
